All the works sent are copyrighted by the author. No part of this work, or any content contained herein, may be used or reproduced in any manner whatsoever without express permission of the copyright holder(s).

The work should be the property of the submitter/ author and thereby no duplicity would be accepted. Unpublished works would be given more preference. If the work is previously posted in the author’s personal blog then it will be considered.

The competition closes 5pm, 20 August 2011.

The winners will be notified by email and the names of the winners will be announced through the RMIT University’s News site, by 30 August 2011.

That judges may, at their absolute discretion, broadcast my poem online and in print for communication and promotional purposes and through various media including third party businesses like Federation Square and www.twitter.com.

Not to include mature content as the potential audience is of varying ages.

That the poem is my own work.

That we are able to communicate with me about my poem.

That the competition is judged by reference to skill and the judges’ decision on the winning poems will be final.

Subject to my consent, judges may include my poem in an anthology of all winning entries and may print and sell the anthology for profit.

That judges are not responsible to me if my poem or name is erroneously or incorrectly printed or broadcast.

That if I am an RMIT University student, judges may use and disclose my name and my poem as an example of exemplary work during and after the competition.
